Scott relocated to Southwest Florida in 1996 from a small town (Surf City) on an island in New Jersey. He previously obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Stockton State College, and shortly after relocating to Florida, he started O'Connor Environmental Permitting, Inc. a company that specializes in obtaining regulatory permits for environmental projects in Charlotte, Lee, and Sarasota County, including many for Boca Grande residents. He currently serves on two community Board of Directors and has had his Florida real estate license for 10 years.
 
As he grew up on a small island and has never lost his love for the beach, it is easy for Scott to love Boca Grande and all that it offers, or perhaps all that it doesn't offer. Scott and his wife Kristin live in Gasparilla Preserve with their two horses and 3 dogs. Hobbies include competing in Triathlons, running, teaching spin classes at the local YMCA, skiing anywhere there is fresh powder, and spending time with his wife at their vacation home in Big Sky, Montana.
